Graduate of North Toronto Collegiate known for its enriched music program under the direction of Liz Montieth. North Toronto's music program prepared Conor for a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music’s Summer Percussion Week and acceptance by audition into New York University’s Summer Broadway Percussion program.
Conor has studied Jazz percussion with Dennis Mackrel, Barry Romberg and Anthony Michelli and composition and arranging with Barry Elmes. In addition he studied world percussion with Rick Lazar, Javier Diaz and Michael Lipsey as well as tabla with Ravi Naimpally. Mark Eisenman, Lorne Lofsky and Kelly Jefferson have also been essential to ensemble studies. Conor also studied Latin jazz with Ruben Vazquez at the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Conor performs in a variety of Latin, Ladino, jazz, funk and fusion ensembles and lends his talents as a percussionist in theatre and as an accompanist for various artists. He leads his own group Conor Hall Trio, is a member of Vivi Hu Quartet and also The Yonge Kings, a New Orleans inspired band. He is also a member of Gamelan Yowana Sari (Balinese Gamelan)
Conor is currently a Music Teaching Artist and Curriculum Writer with NYC schools and a private and group drum instructor in New York.
